The portal provides an intimate look at the full gigabyte of data we're sending to the lunar surface, from recordings of daily life on Earth to scientific knowledge, cultural artifacts, and personal messages of hope from people around the world. Visitors can browse through videos showing snippets of 24-hour life across different cultures, explore UNESCO World Heritage sites, examine scientific posters, and browse through the constitutions of nations worldwide.
In creating this archive, we came to realize two things: first, that this is an impossible project in the most inspiring sense - attempting to capture the entirety of human experience. And second, that we are uniquely remarkable as a species, with all our complexities and contradictions.
- Nick Searra, Interstellar Foundation Founder
What makes this archive special isn't just its destination, but how it came together. ASPIRE One is a global effort, combining contributions from scientists, artists, cultural institutions, and citizens worldwide. The contents range from intimate moments of daily life to grand scientific achievements, from ancient cultural wisdom to challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
